Nice restaurant. Nice decor. Enough staff who pay attention to their work and guests. Smooth friendly service. Food was good to eat. Had the spare ribs. Were well cooked and tasty. The side dishes are enough. Don't expect a star meal, just honest ingredients that are well prepared. Allergy wishes were also well addressed and applied correctly. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We four Australian tourists turned up for lunch on the Whit Monday public holiday (Monday 29th May, 2024). It was very busy, and we didn't have a booking, so we thought there may be a problem. But instead, we were greeted without any difficulties by a friendly manager. Then we had very quick, helpful and friendly service by an English-speaking waitress. The menu was typically Dutch provincial, with a moderate range and competitive prices. They were also able to quickly provide a child's high chair. And the meals were provided quickly and piping hot! Can recommend this place. Parking: Share street parking with the supermarket across the street Kid-friendliness: Didn't need children's food. Brought our own. High chair is available Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €50–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free street parking

I recently had the opportunity to visit De Kromme Hoek, and my overall impression of the experience was quite average. While there were some positive aspects, there were also areas that left room for improvement. First and foremost, the ambiance of De Kromme Hoek was pleasant. The interior decor had a cozy and inviting feel, and the layout was well thought out. We honestly did think that there was just us in the beginning but when we went inside properly, we realised the entire restuarant was full. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it a suitable place for a casual outing. Moving on to the service, I found it to be friendly but lacking in some areas. The staff was courteous and attentive, but there were moments when it took longer than expected to receive our orders or have our requests attended to. It seemed like there could have been better coordination among the staff members to ensure a smoother dining experience. When it comes to the food, the menu at De Kromme Hoek offered a decent variety, but the execution fell a bit short of expectations. While the presentation was appealing, the flavors of the dishes were somewhat underwhelming. The ingredients seemed fresh, but the taste combinations lacked that extra touch to make them truly memorable like their other branch. It's worth noting, however, that individual tastes can vary, and what might not have resonated with me might be enjoyable for others. In terms of pricing, De Kromme Hoek was relatively reasonable, considering the location and the ambiance. The cost was in line with similar establishments in the area, but I would have appreciated more value for the money in terms of the taste and portions. In conclusion, my experience at De Kromme Hoek was average overall. While the ambiance and service had their merits, the food left something to be desired in terms of flavor and execution. With some improvements in the culinary department and perhaps a bit more attention to the pacing of service, De Kromme Hoek could elevate its status from average to exceptional. Please note that experiences can vary, and this review reflects my personal visit to De Kromme Hoek. Others may have had different experiences, and it's always a good idea to try a place for yourself to form your own opinion. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Recommended dishes: Hot Wings, Sorbet
