Belgian cuisine under the direction of the great chef is gorgeous at this place. Perfectly cooked fillet steaks, kacamak and filet américain have a pleasant taste. You can order good fruitcake and tasty dame blanche. A selection of delicious wine or good beer is provided to visitors. Great coffee will make your meal better and you'll certainly come back.

Last weekend was my second visit to "De Vijfhoek" and unfortunately the same thing always strikes me at such establishments: the very first thing that is brought 'to a gastronomic level' is the price of the dishes! You pay €44 for a fillet and for that price you get a few lettuce leaves as vegetables. We then received the - heap and all 6 - leaves of lettuce in one bowl for 3 people. We asked for three seared fillet pur's and they were all fried too hard, even more than cooked to perfection. The mushroom cream was also way too salty. My wife had the asparagus à la Flamande but got a salty yellow/green chunky porridge that really didn't look appetizing. If you put a specific preparation method on the menu, you must also serve the dish according to that preparation method. If not, call it "asparagus De Vijhoek" or something like that. The asparagus was also hard and not peeled enough. The service was okay, folksy and friendly, but nothing more than that. And once the dishes were on the table, there was no one in the room and we had to go to the café to ask for extra drinks. For the bill: ditto! Unfortunately, that is something that I notice in many cases. However, I think restaurants and bistros still generate a lot of income from drinks! Finally, it's certainly not all doom and gloom. The desserts were very tasty, the same for the onglet and the fish dishes. However, if you set your prices in that order of magnitude, everything has to be fine and there has to be a certain refinement. Otherwise you lower your prices by 20%!
