We came for the gin making experience and had a brilliant time. We’ve done a few of these but this was the best one. Harry was brilliant too, so much knowledge, so passionate about the craft and answered all our questions warmly and enthusiastically. We came away with a 70cl bottle of gin, a deeper understanding of distilling and botanicals and had an all round great time. Thanks Harry, and thanks Paul. We had an excellent gin experience at Defiance Spirits and would highly recommend it. The afternoon was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. Harry, who led the event, was outstanding. His engagement with the group was spot on, and his knowledge of gin, distillation, and the individual botanicals was impressive without ever feeling overbearing. What really stood out was his showmanship — he delivered the experience with enthusiasm, confidence, and a great sense of humour, which kept everyone involved and entertained throughout. The food platter was just right and complemented the event perfectly, adding to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere without distracting from the tasting itself. It was also great to be able to bring a bottle of your gin home at the end, which was a lovely finishing touch to the experience. The session was well paced, informative, and genuinely fun, making it feel more like an experience rather than a standard tasting. It was an amazing afternoon overall and one we would happily do again. If you are considering a gin experience in the area, this is absolutely worth booking. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
