Visited here for the first time. I think it is the best Italian food in Hillsboro and well worth the visit! The range of menu items, the portuon size, and the quality are all excellent!! I had the Penne with Fennel sausage and my friend at the Fig and Proscutto pizza. We finished with the Vanilla Pana cotta. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

I like to support local, independent restaurants, and look for gems in the neighborhood. There are quite a few, actually, but as far as Degarios Italian Ristorante goes, I'm not sure where all the high ratings for this place are coming from, and I have to admit that lately I'm not trusting restaurant ratings online much at all. This was one of those places where you pull up to park in front and there's nobody seated inside at 7pm on a Friday night. Note to self, and everyone else: IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU, THE RESTAURANT IS EMPTY FOR A REASON. BACK THE CAR UP AND FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE. My husband and I had the worst meal here, with combinations of flavors that just DO NOT go together, and there was nothing even remotely Italian about the offerings we tasted. Just as soon as the food came to the table, we knew we'd made a huge mistake in choosing this place. In our opinion, the only thing Italian about this restaurant is the name.
