Bridgeview has a lot of little ethnic places like this cantina. Del Carmen is open late at night. It's good for a munchie run or if you just need something. Has a pretty extensive menu that's surprisingly for the size of it. The prices are among the cheapest you can get for stuff like this. Came in late with a girl. It was one of the few things open. This unfortunately doesn't have alcohol, only Mexican pop like Jarrito's, so that's about the only complaint about this. It's $2.50 for a bottle. That's the other complaint about this. I guess they have overpriced drinks to make up for the cheap ass food. They often have some kind of special. Authentic cuisine. We each had the Vegetarian Tacos Dinner. It's about $7 for a good amount. This is three tacos with beans and rice. On the tacos are cilantro and onions. Simple yet terrific. Also free chips and salsa like any Mexican restaurant should have. The food comes out quick. Good overall experience. If only they had margaritas. This place is worth it for the cheap tacos so it's still good for a late visit.
