After enjoying Cascadia Art Museum, visit this bar that is not far away. Taste something unusual from Greek and Mediterranean cuisines. It's worth coming to Demetris Woodstone Taverna because of nicely cooked calamari, tapas and bacon. The cooks here prepare good chocolate custard, doughnuts and chocolate cakes.
The wine list is extensive, every guest can find something that suits their taste. You will be offered great chocolate frappe or delicious tea. The knowledgeable staff demonstrates a high level of quality at this place. Spectacular service is something visitors agree upon here. This spot offers you dishes at reasonable prices. What an awesome place to eat and relax by the sea! The burgers and fish & chips were great and the service was fantastic. One of the staff looked and talked like Vin Diesel! Located by the Edmonds waterfront, ferry terminal, and Brackett's Landing parks, Demetris Woodstone Taverna is at a prime location for stellar business. We arrived in a group of 13 for a 1pm lunch. I never expect service to be spectacular when there are so many of us. But credit to the server, Heide W, we all thought she did a great job. We each got our own checks, too. That's a lot to manage. Well done. We ordered from the lunch menu. The place isn't cheap given the address. Other than small bites, there's nothing under $20. Just a heads up. The deco is old-school seaside decorated. It's not my thing, but it matches the address. The place is big and good for groups. The Food: Firecracker Shrimp Po Boy Roll, $25 - 3 Stars Menu: Firecracker Shrimp, house po boy remoulade sauce, tomato, onion, and romaine The sandwich itself was terrific, like 2000 calories kind of naughty terrific. It was a lot greaser than I anticipated. Fried shrimps (as expected), remoulade sauce (greasy, creamy, as expected), I missed the detail that the bun is also soaked in butter and pan seared. So good, yet so bad for me. Doh. The sandwich is maybe 3.5 or 4 stars. The house cut fries, on the other hand, were cold. How does a busy restaurant that serves fries with nearly every dish serve cold fries? I rolled my eyes at them and put my half-bitten fry back down. I am very picky with my fries. Well, I figured the sandwich already exceeded my week's allowance for grease, so I didn't bother to alert the server. The fries went home to be heated instead. 1 Star for the fries. 3 Stars for the meal.
