After reading so many 5* reviews, I decided to try the dumplings. I had 4 pork and 4 chicken. They were steamed, served on a small paper plate. Taste was ok, a bit bland. They are cooked from frozen and are basically two-bites size in order to be full I guess go for a big portion. The service was decent. Overall, the taste is comparable with what you can buy at Costco. For $12 with tip it's worth trying them once. Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

I love Deng's, especially the dumpling soup. The dumplings and broth are typically phenomenal, one of the best I have eaten. Giving only 4 stars because I talked it up to my friend but when we ordered it 2 days ago the broth had almost no flavour other than a slight vinegary taste. It was nothing like what it usually is, and was very disappointing. I've convinced the friend to give it another try, but I don't know how long to wait before we go back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$10–20

Deng’s Dumpling on 17th - I walked in to place an order and the staff immediately asked “For?” as if assuming I was picking up a Skip the Dishes order. The interaction felt awkward, and the Beef dumpling soup I ordered was cold and lacked flavor. Overall, a VERY disappointing experience. 0/5. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
