Very good, very friendly typically French restaurant, easy to access but a little out of the usual tourist path - not the usual tourist trap (English spoken however). Many/most guests are repeat, local customers, and come back (as I do) for the food, the place and for the larger than life owner.

We spent 3 glorious nights in one week with Jerome at Desvouges in August 2017 and of all the marvellous restaurants we enjoyed over a month in France none came near the ambience, extraordinary culinary skill and delight in offering such food and wine wonders as we had at Desvouges. Thankyou for the bottle of wine - thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the edge of the Loire outside of Amboise. We miss you. XPenny and John in Australia
