We visited Gruppo Di Rienzo on August 26, when the temperature was around 39°C. Sitting outside was particularly difficult in that heat, especially with children, so we decided to move inside. At first glance, the interior looked nice and charming. However, once we sat down, we noticed that the furnishings and overall atmosphere felt quite dated and dusty. In particular, the small pink vases on the tables looked as though they had not been properly cleaned for a very long time, which was disappointing. We ordered the Carbonara, Linguini with meat sauce, and Salmon with vegetables. Unfortunately, none of the dishes had a particularly special or memorable taste. The vegetables served with the salmon were also noticeably undercooked and quite hard. What made the experience even more concerning was what happened afterward. One of our family members experienced significant stomach discomfort throughout the night after dinner. We cannot say for certain that it was caused by the food, but considering what happened, we were left questioning the restaurant’s hygiene standards.
