My experience at Diadema Restaurant in Rome was extremely disappointing and easily one of the worst dining experiences I had during my trip. I ordered the entrecôte steak, but instead the waiter brought me a T-bone steak and immediately walked away without saying a word about the substitution. I had to call him back to ask why I had received a completely different cut of meat than what I ordered. His response was unbelievably dismissive — he told me it was “my lucky day” because a T-bone steak costs more. I explained that I did not order a T-bone steak and that I would have appreciated being informed beforehand or at least asked if I wanted a different option. Instead of apologizing, he became short and rude, telling me that this was all they had available and asking if I wanted something else. Since I did not have time to restart the entire order process, I reluctantly agreed to keep it. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of professionalism afterward. The waiter never returned to the table for the remainder of the meal and instead avoided us entirely, sending other staff members over instead. There was never any apology, acknowledgment, or attempt to correct the situation. When the bill arrived, I specifically asked to speak with the original waiter. I explained how disappointed I was with both the service and the way the situation had been handled. I also pointed out that a T-bone steak is only more expensive because of the additional bone weight — not because the actual meat itself is superior or more valuable than the cut I originally ordered. Overall, the service was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from start to finish. A restaurant of this reputation should know how to communicate basic menu availability issues respectfully and professionally. I would strongly recommend avoiding Diadema if you expect honest service or even basic courtesy. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

WORST RESTAURANT EVER!! I would definitely not suggest to go here! We went to this restaurant with my husband and friends for new years evening. The waiters were extremely impolite, we first got the wrong food, additionally it was cold and it tasted very bad!!! I had never eaten such bad food, I almost threw up! There are so much more better restaurants in Rome, DO NOT GO HERE!!
