We were there at a quiet time. The chicken livers, toasties and fries were tasty and freshly made - worth the wait. Definitely worth popping in if you're in the area. Price per person: R 100–150 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Die Grasdak is a nice pub & restaurant situated in a remote area of Devon just outside Springs. You’d struggle to find it unless you know about it.
I’ve been to the place a couple of times and here are my thoughts:
The place is clean with some thatched roofs. I have never used the rooms only the restaurant. The service is really good, the ladies have a beautiful smile and are very welcoming all the time.
The establishment has WiFi but somehow not available to all patrons. When asked the waiter for connection password she said the owner said they had given it to many people some who don’t come for “food” but only for WiFi. Such a remote area I doubt anyone would come only for WiFi. Also, I’ve never seen someone who didn’t have a plate of food or a drink at the restaurant but okay. Went to ask the owner but she said there is network problems when clearly it was not true.
Coming down to the food. Be ready to wait at-least 1 hour for a whole restaurant meal unless you ordering a sandwich. The food is delicious when cooked properly and by “certain cooks” which just shows lack of consistency. Sometimes the meat is nicely cooked and sometimes is over cooked. They don’t have chicken dishes except for the schnitzel. I love their lamp chops, very delicious and juicy you can see much preparation has been invested in them. Chicken livers on the other hand are never consistently cooked, one day they are mushy, the next they are soaking in oil and some days delicious.
Unfortunately there aren’t many restaurants in the area so you are limited to where you can eat.
The food could be better because when cooked right, it’s very delicious.
