The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is because the newer employees seem very sweet and welcoming. Unfortunately, the management and some of the older employees often come across as rude or like they have more important things to do. I’ve been to many Dillons locations, and it’s surprising that this smaller store has had some of the worst customer service experiences. I’ve also noticed employees frequently on their phones while working carts in the parking lot.

I enjoyed my trip to the Dillon's in Junction City, KS on May 7, 2026 ...... getting more than I needed due to great prices and ending with AMAZING assistance from Giovana and the staff at the self-checkout after close. I was running VERY late and had to get many gallons of water. (I also had a list but assumed it would take too long..... ) I went straight to the water and things kept catching my eye..... things from my list. The store signs are easy to read, the merchandise well stocked, and prices fantastic!!!!! Then, as I grab 'two more things' (LOL) and race to check out as the closed announcement is shared, I went into the self check out. I allowed myself to feel rushed because I was holding up the staff..... instead of making me feel worse or ignoring me.... a kind and knowledgeable staff member named Giovana stepped up to help as I needed it and reassured me that I was okay. She and the other staff finished some cleaning, checked on myself and the other few late shoppers, and were exceptionally kind. The staff even checked to see if I was in need of help getting my high stacked cart to my car. It is becoming more rare to experience friendly and forgiving customer service. I definitely experienced amazing service that night. Thank you!
