We’ve been coming to Dim Sum Box for quite a while and genuinely love this place. The food is consistently excellent, and their dim sum is some of the best takeout dim sum we’ve found. We’ve ordered many times, and the quality of the food keeps us coming back. However, we’ve noticed a disappointing trend on our last couple of takeout orders. On our most recent order, which was nearly $100, we received no napkins, no utensils, one packet of soy sauce, about a teaspoon of sweet chili sauce, and roughly a tablespoon of hoisin sauce for the duck. In addition, the green onions were old and slimy and had to be discarded. We’ve also noticed the complete absence of some of the sauces that used to accompany certain dim sum dishes and were a big part of what made the takeout experience so enjoyable. The sauces really complement the food, and it feels like the quantity and variety provided have been steadily reduced. The main food itself was good, but the amount of sauce provided was nowhere near enough for the meal, and the fresh garnish was not usable. I understand that additional sauces are available for purchase, but as a takeout customer, you don’t realize how little sauce has been included until you get home. For many dishes, the sauces are an important part of the experience, and running out immediately is frustrating. I hope management reconsiders the portioning of sauces and the inclusion of basic takeout items such as napkins and utensils. It would make a big difference to the overall takeout experience. The staff was friendly and walked us through all of their great options including some of the dishes they are known for. This is a place that will definitely be on our list to go back to. Any place that has a peking duck option has me sold, I can honestly say they Peking duck was excellent. This is what we ordered. Peking Duck Fried Pork Eggrolls Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings Fried Shrimp Dumplings Shrimp Fried rice Baked Golden Egg Yolk Lava Bans Price per person: $20–30

I had the BEST birthday experience here! I honestly wasn’t even planning to come — we had just finished dinner at another restaurant and happened to walk by when we got invited in. I’m so glad we did because it completely made my night. The cocktails were amazing — super unique and unlike anything I’ve tried before — and the service was incredible from the moment we walked in. Once they found out it was my birthday, they went above and beyond to make it unforgettable for me and my friends. They played music we loved, created such a fun vibe, and by the end of the night the whole place felt like one big celebration with everyone singing along together. It was such a special, joyful atmosphere. I truly can’t thank them enough for making my birthday so memorable. I’ll never forget this night and will definitely be back!
