This is the best Shanghai-Cantonese food in Philadelphia. We ordered the scallion pancakes + braised beef, shrimp dumplings, crab and pork fried dumplings, stir-fried spinach with garlic, and the pork rib noodle soup. Everything was exquisite and the flavors were top notch. The scallion pancake is fresh with a nice bite, the braised beef was tender and full of umami (and not ice cold like other places), the shrimp dumpling (har gow) was soft, bouncy, and full of shrimp, the buns weren't greasy but full of pork juice, the spinach was perfectly cooked with super gelatinous chicken stock (this is how you know it's the real deal), and the pork rib noodle soup was extremely fragrant and a must-get for fans of 5-spice. The owner is an extremely kind and welcoming. This is definitely my favorite Chinese in PA and it is even better than Everyday Noodles in Pittsburgh. I am so thrilled Dim Sum Corner has joined the neighborhood—it was exactly what we were missing! I’ve already been back 6 times and it never misses. The food is consistently excellent and so reasonably priced. My absolute favorites are the pan-fried pork dumplings and the scallion pancake with beef (pictured). Beyond the food, the staff is so welcoming and the indoor atmosphere is warm and comfortable. Such a wonderful addition to Manayunk! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
