Make sure you ask them if they are serving more than half their menu before you make the trip out. We showed up for a delayed Mother's Day dinner (mom is VERY picky so picking a place is very hard) and we sit down and after much deliberation start to order. We are told they are not serving any of their South Indian menu (so no dosa which is what we came for) and no sandwiches. So we literally had to leave because all they were serving was the Asian fusion and some (not even samosas) of the apps. It was past 8pm so we had to scramble to find a new place to eat. I even called ahead to see if they were open and if there was a wait. It would have been nice to have a heads up when I called or even a heads up when we sat down. Definitely disappointed because we've eaten here a few years  ago and I remember it being good. :( probably won't be back

Let's just say... vwaah vwaah! New Jersey obviously is filled with fantastic Indian places, and usually when I'm in Jersey the only Indian food I'll eat are cooked by either my mom or another aunty (or I guess Chand Palace, LOL) -- but while my fiancé and I we were house sitting in Princeton for my parents for a few months during this pandemic, we often craved Indian food since my mom wasn't around, and Bombay Talk was the way to go. There's also something SO COMFORTING about ordering food/eating at a fully vegetarian place. Being a paranoid vegetarian, I'm much more likely to try more things and explore more with the food because I'm never afraid of the way it is cooked. My imagination doesn't go wild about what surfaces things will be cooked on, or fried in, the way it goes wild in any place that serves meat.   The dish that won my heart was for sure the hakka noodles. I have so many memories of the hakka noodles in the Bombay Talk in Edison -- so being reunited with them was a TREAT for sure. Our orders got to a point where we were ordering from them multiple days in a row and more than one serving of hakka noodles that I'd eat for lunch the next day as well. I know that isn't very healthy, but it was so delicious!!! The other thing I often ordered was the bhel puri. It definitely deserves another, "Vwaah Vwaah!" Somehow still tasted great and not soggy by the time it got to me. My fiance loved the samosa chaat and switched up his dish with every order. He got everything from Khati Rolls, Stuffed Vegetable Sandwich, Pav Bhaji, Cutlet Chaat, Khasta Kachori, Masala Dosa, and I got the Gobi Manchurian one time. Dimple's Bombay Talk is RELIABLE, VEGETARIAN, and (relatively) LIGHT. Is it the most amazing indian restaurant in NJ? Maybe not. BUT, you can be sure that everything you order will taste great and is -- vegetarian!! Side note -- DoorDash is much more reliable in this area than UberEats is. They're pretty good with this restaurant, too.
