Wonderful selections and the staff are amazing. They know so much about what is on offer, it really makes it easy to get that beautiful accompaniment to your dinner, or just for passing the time. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fab staff, full of knowledge and enthusiasm but without the pretentiousness! Always love visiting here, always come away with more wine than we planned because there are just so many great choices! Can't recommend enough!! Price per person: £100+ Service: 5

I ordered some wine with limited stock online, the following day I was contacted for identification (having ordered from laithwaites years ago without any need, and paying for it with a card in my name which requires you to be over 18). I provided the identification within 10 minutes of being contacted. They then contact me a day or 2 later to inform me that they are out of stock. Terrible inventory management if I'm able to order a wine, and then while I am going through identification (which should have been required years ago, if it is going to be required and not now) there is no kind of reservation, it's still open to the market. I have now missed out on this wine because of the poor practices. Or perhaps more maliciously they gave it to someone else who also ordered it but was a better customer, playing favourites. Fix the system, or stand on the deal and deliver the wine. Extremely disappointing. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
