After a walk around Kehila Kedosha Janina, many visitors stop by this restaurant. Come to this place and try Vegetarian cuisine. You will be served mouthwatering onion cakes, carrot salads and courgettes. Taste good biscuits, cheesecakes and chocolate cakes. Delicious prosecco, draft beer or bourbon are what may make you come back to Dirt Candy. Check out great lemonade, chocolate frappe or thai tea.

This place is recommended for the patient staff. The fabulous service is something these restaurateurs care about. A lot of visitors find that prices are attractive for what you receive. The divine decor and charming atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. This spot is a Michelin selection and has been awarded 2 black knife-and-fork symbols: the experts say that this restaurant provides supreme comfort.

Some of the dishes were very good others way to complicated which lost the taste of the veg. Wish there was a 3 course option the 5 course was way too much food.
My partner and I, a vegetarian, celebrated my birthday here recently and were unbelievably disappointed with the quality of the menu, the quantity of food, and the service from the staff. At $150+ per person (we did the 9-course tasting menu and the wine pairing), we were expecting much more, but Dirt Candy failed to live up to its hype. We knew we were in for a sub-par experience as soon as the first course arrived at our table--a 3-tiered tower of different canapes. The serving dish looked homemade (you could see dry Gorilla Glue running down the post) and the greens that were on each tier were wilted. Later dishes may have looked nice upon presentation but were entirely impractical to eat with the utensils provided (e.g., a spoon when a knife and fork were 100% needed) and hid, rather than enhanced, the flavor of the vegetables (e.g., the carrot slider featured "Big Mac" sauce that masked any vegetal flavors). Further, the portions were terribly small and we left the restaurant hungry. The service was also a bit shaky, with the sommelier pouring the same wine twice and a server placing, removing, and then replacing a dish on our table because they didn't know whether it was part of the current course or the next one.   As a vegetarian, I want to root for Dirt Candy. However, I cannot in good faith recommend this restaurant to anyone. Spend your money at one of the other casual fine dining vegetarian restaurants like abcv or Nix.
I had the opportunity to work with Chef Amanda when she was a doing a celebrity chef dinner in Denver. She's an incredibly awesome person with an equally as awesome restaurant. Whenever I visit NY I always make it a point to stop in. Service and food is incredible. The fun and interactive dishes add to the experience. Speaking of experience, check out the bathrooms!
