Great food, great service – definitely recommend We had dinner at Dishoom Manchester and really enjoyed it. We had the Manchester special, which was absolutely delicious and definitely recommended. My wife isn’t great with food that’s too spicy, and the staff were really helpful in guiding us towards dishes that would work for her, which was much appreciated. Service throughout was friendly and attentive, the drinks were great and there’s a really nice atmosphere to the place. It was busy, so booking ahead is definitely recommended. Great food, great service and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We’d definitely return. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner

Easily some of the most incredible and authentic Indian cuisine I’ve ever had. We ordered the chakna, pav bhaji, makhmali paneer, Bihari biryani, and black daal. The biryani and black daal in particular were out of this world. Truly among the best I’ve tasted. Ambience: 1/5. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was completely ruined by the table next to us. A couple spent their entire meal playing Instagram reels on full volume and even took a phone call on speakerphone so loud that we could hear every word. Service & Overall Experience:. What brought the rating down to a 2/5 was how the staff handled it. When I raised the issue with our waitress, she offered no resolution other than moving us just one table over, which did nothing to block out the noise. For an establishment of this caliber and price point, I expect management to set basic standards of etiquette so one disruptive party doesn't ruin the dining experience for everyone else. We were celebrating our anniversary, which made the overall outcome quite disappointing. To top it off, the waitress only acknowledged our occasion when delivering the bill by handing us a free breakfast coupon. Celebrating a special milestone warrants a touch of hospitality during the meal itself, rather than a marketing tactic to entice a return visit. Based on previous reviews, I don’t expect the restaurant to acknowledge this review but I hope it’s valuable for future customers. I would still return to Dishoom for the food, but definitely at a different location, hoping for more attentive management and more respectful fellow diners.
