So very sad tonight. Hands down, when I lived on the east side this was THE place I went for dinner and EVERY celebratory event for a few years. When I got my first job as an electrical engineer in 2006 I think it was, that's exactly where I took my wife to tell her the news. The first time I saw Cheap Trick, next door at the coolest small concert venue in the world, I had dinner and drinks first at Dobhan. The first time I saw Henry Rollins at the Barrymore, dinner etc Dobhan. Second time seeing Henry. I think the first Jim Jeffries show I had to walk in a bit late because I couldn't rush Dobhan and my always enjoyed banter with the owner who was so very kind and would offer suggestions of foods I'd been eager to learn more about. Every time I wanted to have an exceptional curry, or perhaps I wanted to eat goat, there was no option that I would consider. Sadly I moved to Middleton in 2011, and I allowed myself to forget that it was well worth the drive. Tonight I learned he closed back in '19. Probably for the best, these last many months essentially defining all of 2020.

This place said it was open and the most recent review was 2 weeks ago but when I got there it was locked and gutted which suggests it's probably not in business anymore.
