Contemporary Korean cuisine, innovative and well executed. Some people say it is a fusion restaurant, but I don’t see what’s fusion about it, nor what cuisine it is fused with. It is Korean flavours and ingredients skilfully prepared and presented in modern and innovative ways. What stood out to me was the horse mackerel ‘ceviche’ - slightly aged for umami but still fresh as to be eaten sashimi. They have an interesting wine list, if a little pricy, and the staff are knowledgeable. However, it is not acceptable that half of the winelist is ‘sold out’. To finish on a positive note, the restaurant has great ambience, friendly staff and good jazz music playing. Thank you for a pleasant and tasty evening. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Dobu is the kind of place you almost want to keep to yourself. Friendly welcome, relaxed yet efficient service, you feel comfortable right away. The space is charming: everyone sits at the counter, facing the chefs. No tricks, everything happens right in front of you. It’s honest, lively cooking without unnecessary show. On the plate, it’s flawless. Everything is precise, well-balanced, and above all delicious. Standouts include the potato pancake, perfectly crispy, the octopus salad, fresh and well-balanced, and the horse mackerel ceviche, incredibly fresh. To finish, the Basque cheesecake is outstanding, rich and perfectly executed. The wine list is well curated, with some great choices. Special mention for the excellent orange wine, which paired beautifully with the food. A solid, sincere spot where you come to eat well and definitely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
