We went for the Father's Day brunch buffet. I had prime rib, oysters, shrimp, Eggs Benedict, and various small desserts. The shrimp were just ok, as far as shrimp usually goes. The various small desserts were good. I would rate the Eggs Benedict, prime rib, and oysters as very good. Only knock on the oysters was that there seemed to be more shell debris in the oysters than usual. The atmosphere was friendly, and the live stream from a street in Dublin is a nice touch. My primary complaint was about service. We got the buffet, as did many diners, so the demands on our server should be low. The main priority is to keep our drinks filled. Yet my soda was constantly empty, and I had to get the servers attention more than once for a refill. Additionally, they have a one hour time limit for the buffet. It's posted online. The server told us at the beginning of our visit. The server reminded us when we were close to the hour. No complaints. My experience has been, when there's a time limit for a buffet, it's in regards to the access to the buffet, not when we have to leave the table. We had paid our bill already, and we were finishing the food and drink remaining. The manager came up to our table to remind us that we had an hour limit, and the time was up. This is when I realized maybe they meant for us to leave once an hour had passed. Again, that was alright. My gripe with the manager was that she then walked to the table next to us and made a comment about to them about my table, stating, "Leave already." Pretty inhospitable and unprofessional to say when it's only been an hour and ten minutes since we first got up to get our first plates at the buffet. Hi Jeremy, Thank you for taking the time to share this and for coming in with us on Father’s Day! I do want to start by saying I’m glad you were able to enjoy the buffet, and I appreciate you being candid about the rest as well. On the service side, drink refills should absolutely feel more on top of things during a busy buffet service, and that’s something we’ll be reinforcing with the team. As for the interaction you mentioned with the manager, I can understand how that may have come across in the moment. That wasn’t directed at your table, and the intent was a light bit of banter in a conversation with another guest about their stay. That said, we absolutely understand how overhearing it could land the wrong way from your side, and that’s on us to be more mindful about how things are said in shared spaces. We appreciate you bringing it forward. Feedback like this genuinely helps us tighten things up and do better where it counts. Thanks again for taking the time and we hope to see you back soon. Doherty's Irish Pub & Restaurant offers traditional Irish food along with American Pub staples. If Bangers and Mash is your thing, you won't be disappointed. I loved the Fish and Chips. The fish is delicately battered with the thinnest, crispiest batter ever. The fish is moist and delicious. If you haven't tried Doherty's, you are missing out. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
