The food was disappointing. The pizzas were undercooked and seemed to be made with low-quality ingredients — cheap Spanish salami rather than proper Italian salami. They also had a noticeable gas-like taste, which made me wonder whether they were cooked in a gas oven. My zucchini and prawn pasta wasn’t much better; the sauce tasted like raw tomato sauce rather than a properly cooked pasta sauce. The one positive was our waiter with the Afro hairstyle, who was very polite, friendly and always smiling. Unfortunately, most of the other staff came across as robotic and disengaged. Overall, Dolce Vita felt more like a tourist money-making operation than an authentic Italian restaurant. Very little atmosphere and, more importantly, poor-quality food.
