I’ve visited Don Gregorio twice now — once on Valentine’s Day and again recently — and unfortunately had the same disappointing experience both times. The main issue is the bathrooms. The toilets were broken on both visits, and given how close they are to the open kitchen, it was very off-putting. When the toilets can’t be flushed and the restaurant is busy, it creates an unpleasant and unhygienic situation. The handwashing area is also extremely small, which makes things worse. It’s a real concern in such a compact dining space. As for the food, it’s generally good value for money. The sauces are lovely, and the desserts are okay (though it would be nice to see a bit more variety). However, the pasta — which should be their highlight — is disappointing. It’s doughy, overcooked, and tends to stick together in one big lump rather than being served al dente as you’d expect from a restaurant that prides itself on fresh handmade pasta. It’s a shame, because there’s potential here, but the ongoing bathroom and hygiene issues make it hard to enjoy the meal. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Service: Dine in
