I'm rating it a 1 for solely the reason that they have the worst security here. I came to Don Sals because my friends have been hyping it up that it gets good on the weekends as night life. It was good at first then more and more people started going and the dance floor was completely over filled. We ended up buying a bottle for the group and one of my friends got too drunk and security was kicking them out I understand why they were kicking him out so I decided to drab on to my friend and told security I'd walk him out. Security then proceeded to man handle me and throw me out as well when I was doing absolutely nothing wrong I got upset and told security to not lay hands on me as I was already walking out of the venue. He didn't listen and proceeded to pinch my arm aggressively and I stopped and pushed him off and yelled at him to leave me alone. Regardless of the matter I understood why I my friend was getting kicked out and I just wanted to walk them out to check up on them security had no business being so aggressive towards me when I wasn't drunk or aggressive until they were. Next time have a women security escort the women out. It's appalling how they act and how the handle situations.

My sister had raved about this restaurant so I had to pay a visit. Don Sal Cocina & Cantina is a Mexican restaurant that sits on the BLVD (essentially the downtown strip in Lancaster). It is located right next to a museum and to the popular chicken sandwich place "Sassy Bird". There is available free parking at the back of the restaurant. We came here in the evening and this place already had groups of people waiting. We had to sign in, and wait approximately about 20-30 minutes for our seats to be ready. Once we went in, we noticed there were plenty of tables available but for some reason they weren't all utilized. Our server was friendly and got us drinks to start off with. He came back to take our orders and even brough us chips & salsa as we wait for our food. We had consumed about a bowl or two of those chips when we realized how we still haven't gotten our food 45 minutes later. At this point, we were a bit frustrated since food was pretty delayed. We had to speak to the server to remind him we haven't received our food. Once we received our food, we were kind of not too hungry anymore because the chips & salsa filled our stomach. We still ate our food and we were satisfied with the taste and portions. My friends got the New York Steak and enchiladas which they said was absolutely delicious. I got the Flautas appetizer and was mind blow by how yummy it was. The shredded meat wrapped in corn tortillas and then dipped in sauce was soo good. I never tried anything like this before and was absolutely blown by how good it was. It is also crazy how big the portions were for an appetizer and I got full just eating one. Most likely will come back for the Flautas. This place was pretty good, and I will most likely make another visit in the future during non busy hours. I'm marking off a star because the wait for our food is crazy.. like 40 minutes blows my mind. They didn't even check with us until we reach out the server and asked for the status of our meal.
