Doug's is a nice, clean busy restaurant. They serve good food, good portions in a friendly manner. I like it here quite a bit. Breakfast, eggs benedict, love, that's my thing .They make it very well and listen to me when I ask for a specific additions.
Famous for good reason. The shock of the behemoth burrito stays strong. Very tasty, very quick, very inexpensive. Highly recommend
While a heap of sauce over hash browns might initially seem like a good idea, avoid it. Hash browns should be crispy, but the entire "Papas" section of the menu renders the browns into mush. Not that it wasn't tasty, but it wasn't as good as it could have been As for the coffee, it was kind of "meh". Bottomless, but also flavorless, and I'm not much of a coffee expert. So the fact that I noticed it being very watered down says something. My wife had the eggs benedict with spinach. The eggs were overcooked (yolk was not runny), the spinach was not cooked at all (surprising), and the hollandaise was not flavorful. Service was fine and friendly. I would recommend Doug's Day Diner if you just want a lot of food. But it's not great food.
