I visited Doves on yesterday for brunch with my girls and had a beautiful time!! The establishment is beautiful! The servers, staff and bartender were amazing. They create a family atmosphere that feels authentic and I love that. The food is top tier!! I'm likely mad I don't know what that sauce is on the fish and grits so I can go home and make it! :) That is alright, I will becoming back and trying dinner next time! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the seating selection, but the way that had us grooving with the music we wasn't sitting down much! I always try to support Black businesses but Houston restaurants make it so hard, smh. A deposit to reserve for a birthday dinner? I knew it was on some BS when we were told that they were just preparing our table when we arrived (we were 10 minutes late with a group of 12). Told to wait at the bar and proceeded to be ignored for 45 minutes, until I asked to speak to the floor manager. Was finally seated around that time and, even though water glasses were set before us, we got no water, napkins or, silverware until I finally went downstairs to ask for them! Meanwhile, a few people had already received their food but had nothing to eat with! They were out of what I ordered so, after waiting all day to eat, I just ordered the wings. They were okay. Nothing special. Old fashioned was over $25 (because of automatic gratuity added) and the one I had to wait 45min for was like sugar. The decor gave me flashbacks to the 90s with the black/gold furniture days, smh. The DJ was good. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE. And I didn't take pictures because I was aggravated beyond belief that they would mess up someone's birthday this way! Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $100+

I had such a good time at the doves restaurant. The atmosphere was 10/10 and food was 10/10! Lala is an amazing server and very attentive. If you come ask for her and I promise you she’s going to give you an amazing experience!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $100+
