I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant based on the menu and reviews. We only had one opportunity to try it out because they are closed on Sun/Mon so Tuesday was the only chance since we were leaving the island on Wed. The week we were there was Spring Break week for GA so the restaurants on the island had been packed with long waits. I called the restaurant around 5:30 to ask what the wait time was and the hostess said she couldn't give a wait time over the phone. For an establishment located in a condominium neighborhood with limited parking, not sure why that information can't be shared over the phone. So we drove over there, I was dropped at front to check in while husband went to search for parking. Was told when I got in there, the wait was a 1 hour and 45 minutes for party of 4. Why waste someone's time when that information could have been shared over the phone?? It's frustrating especially for families visiting to search for food on the island. You drive from place to place hoping to find a venue that doesn't have a ridiculous wait time - none that we found took reservations and many times you couldn't get someone to answer the phone to inquire. Long story short, we ended up just ordering pizza that night. I still would like to try Driftwood Bistro out someday but think they should reconsider the guidelines for wait information being given over the phone.

Misty, the hostess was fabulous!! We walked by just before closing one night and se was super friendly, answering all of our touristy questions. Because of her hospitality, we went back the next night to eat. IT WAS FABULOUS!! Our table of 7 had not one gripe about the food. It was so good, we went back the next night! Thank you Misty for your advice on what to order and your hospitality!!
