Although there are many large facilities, such as roadside stations, along National Route 7 by the Sea of Japan, local restaurants are difficult to find unless you turn off onto side roads. Yoshino Drive-In Restaurant is located on National Route 345, which runs west along the coast from Route 7. It is an old building with a distinct Showa-era feel. The menu isn't extensive, focusing mainly on ramen noodles, set meals and rice bowls. This time, I ordered the ramen noodles set meal. At JPY950, it included ramen, half a portion of rice, pickles, and a small side dish of ham and mekabu seaweed, excellent value for money. The ramen featured three large slices of chashu pork and had an absolutely delicious, clean, savoury soy sauce flavour. The side dish was tasty, too, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. Cash only. Parking available. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
