This cafe is closed indefinitely from what I could find. Bit of a shame because it sounded like a great place to hang out.

Closed!? Over from Auckland for a weekend, walked up from town & it wasn't open! Wasted hour. Feeling very let down by one of the great Kiwi cafes. Inconsistency kills the caff.

On a sunny and warm Thursday in February our vegan family of three had an excellent lunch at the Driving Creek Cafe. While the whole town of Coromandel was overflowing with tourists and stuffy and hot the lush, green bush environment of the cafe made for a welcome change of scenery. We chose the Harty Miso Soup which was beautifully presented, came in a very large and full bowl and tasted delicious. We also had a good soy cappuccino. We will be back!
