Having recently moved to the area, we visited The Duck Inn over Easter with the family. It was very busy, but the atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were incredibly welcoming. We only stopped by for drinks with the grandchildren this time, but the manager/landlady organised some great Easter games for the kids, which was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back to try the food—just what you’d hope for from a traditional pub. Price per person: £10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We popped into the Duck about a year ago with our two-year-old. They were trying out a small menu - a few burgers, couple of other bits. Food was alright, nothing special, but they were so friendly with us and the little one that we had a good time and made a note to go back. Fast forward a year, and we went again today. They’ve got a tight menu now - burgers and mac and cheese - and it’s good. I’m lactose free and they were very accommodating. Sunny garden out the back that the tourists don’t seem to find, because it’s a whole sixty seconds from the beach. Still great with kids. Good beers. We’ll definitely be back.
