St John's Wood has its charms, and most of them are expensive. So, don't expect a cheapo experience at the Duke of York, but do expect thoroughly enjoyable food and drink in a relaxed and civilised atmosphere. Quick note: Some of the real ales are a bit obscure, but staff always offer a taste before you decide on your pint. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
