I just went after years of not entering dumpling time door, I saw they had new dishes and I was excited to go with my friend her son and my son, we were told we can only order take out at 8:20 while the restaurant closes at 9:00pm. The kitchen manager ended sitting us and we ordered right away. The server ‘’ Martha ‘’ never came to our table and never greeted us or took our order instead the kitchen staff did. She then served us the food with a really bad attitude and kept slamming dishes and even saying the names of the dishes we could barely understand what she was saying, maybe a language problem. While there was other tables that ended up leaving shortly after, she proceeded to clean all the tables and dropped the check before 9pm while our food just got to the table, she asked if we were splitting I said no I will pay for it. She left the device on the table and asked the kitchen manager to take the payment she grabbed her bag and left the establishment. Leaving the table with no payment retrieved or dirty dishes cleared, not even asking if we wanted dessert mind you it was 9:10 when she left. I was very embarrassed to have my friend witness such unprofessionalism of a place I spoke highly of. Apparently the new manager is never present and the staff get to do whatever they want including not serving people and recommending take out because they want to leave early and leave all the responsibility to the kitchen staff who don’t even get any of the tips. So disappointed because the culture used to be different at Dumpling Time. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

First time patrons, recommended by a friend. Walk-in, no reservation on a busy saturday noon. Less than 5 minutes wait to be seated. We preferred indoors over the (nice) patio. Bright, airy interior. Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff and excellent service. Nice variety of dishes, portions rather big, excellent and very tasty food. IMHO an outstanding competitor to the famous Taiwanese chain. Much better value here. Highly recommended!
