The service is very unpleasant, and on top of that, you have to stand in a long line. Every time I ask for a cup in a specific color—especially for my six-year-old daughter—I get a black or gray one. We are regular customers, but I do not recommend this place: the plates are cracked, the spoons aren't washed properly, and the staff is poorly trained. As a regular customer, I find the staff polite but often visibly stressed, and the overall experience consistently frustrating. There’s a noticeable lack of urgency in serving customers or clearing tables, and the café frequently stops hot food service early or closes ahead of schedule with little explanation. More than once, the “hot food” is not available due to shutting the machine off too early or lack of staff, this includes toasting a tea cake!. These patterns point to poor management, with teams left without clear direction and little willingness to multitask — it’s common to also see the staff waiting for the coffee machine rather than preparing other items whilst the coffee is preparing - this is frustrating. I know I’m not the only one who feels this way, and it’s certainly not somewhere I’d go for a quick drink, especially when they sometimes close at 3:30 simply because they choose to. Visited Pausa cafe , big mistake. Staff unfriendly and totally disinterested in friend being gluten free. Only 1 sandwich available. Suggested jacket potato , told No! Not til midday , it was 11 45....customer satisfaction?? So i ate alone, Pausa brekkie..ALL microwaved , awful , never experienced before and wouldn't want again. Toast chewy and tepid coffee. Staff need to attend customer care training , certainly haven't been to charm school. Would not recommend . Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Dietary restrictions: Only 1 GF sandwich...nothing else available.
