We’ve been going to this restaurant for 15 years. They have the best lunch buffet in town by far. The butter chicken is amazing. So many delicious choices for such a great price. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had at an Indian restaurant, and I genuinely wish I had read the reviews before coming here. My partner and I ordered a sambar idli, one kadhai chicken, and 2 naans. The ordering process itself was confusing because we were told that one naan came with the chicken, but it wasn’t clearly explained that this meant the chicken would be served as a much smaller combo-sized portion. When the food arrived, the chicken serving was surprisingly small. What made the experience even worse was the wait. The idli and sambar arrived first, but the chicken and naan took so long that I had already finished eating by the time they were served. Since it took so long for the main dish to arrive, there wasn’t enough time to send it back and order something else because we were already running late. The slow service made an already disappointing meal even more frustrating. The biggest issue, however, was the food quality. The “kadhai chicken” was nothing like a traditional kadhai chicken. It tasted more like a simple homemade chicken in a tomato and capsicum gravy. Even worse, several pieces of chicken were undercooked, making the dish unsafe to eat. My partner ended up eating only the naan with curd because the chicken wasn’t edible. The onion naans were also disappointing. They seemed undercooked and weren’t brushed with butter or ghee, nor were we even asked if we wanted either. The idlis themselves were decent (four pieces), but the sambar portion was very small. When I asked for more sambar, I expected a simple refill. Instead, I was brought a separate bowl and charged an extra $5, which wasn’t made clear beforehand. Overall, the experience was disappointing in every aspect: confusing ordering, extremely slow service, small portions, undercooked food, and unexpected extra charges. The undercooked chicken alone is reason enough not to return. If you’re considering coming here for Indian food, especially chicken dishes, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are many better Indian restaurants that offer better food, better service, and much better value. This is not a place I would visit again or recommend to others. My girlfriend and I recently ordered takeout from Dwaraka Indian Cuisine in Portland. We had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Jalfrezi, garlic naan, and some papadoms to share. Everything was tasty, and the portions were solid. That said, while it was a satisfying meal, it wasn’t the most standout Indian food I’ve had. Still, if you’re in the area and craving Indian, it’s a reliable option with a good variety of dishes. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
