Such a hidden gem! We visited here for Sunday lunch. We had booked a table but actually most people were walk ins. They have a lovely terrace which is in excellent shade at lunch time. The food was all excellent and the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. We loved it and would happily return! One of our best meals during our French trip! Just off rue. Joseph Vernet on a tiny alleyway called rue Mazan was Restaurant EAT, a French bistro style eatery that seats about 20 people. We enjoyed the lunch service of Tagliatelles with Chestnuts (a large servicing of pasta and very enjoyable) as well as a Pork Shank with Polenta (from the "Formule de Midi" which includes a dessert, glass of wine and coffee for 18 Euro). The food took a bit of time but this was understandable as there was only one person in the kitchen; but it was not unbearable and have us time to warm up. The meal itself was very good, with decent sized portions and flavorful food. The atmosphere is clean and quite with low ceilings and a lot of windows which lets in much natural lighting, even on a cloudy December day. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
