My husband and I received food poisoning from this restaurant. We are very confident that this is how we got ill after speaking with Healthlink Alberta. I understand that human error occurs, and called the restaurant so that they could do everything possible to ensure that no one else became sick. The person I spoke to, who I understood to be the owner, felt it was unlikely that we had food poisoning given our symptoms despite the fact that Healthlink provided us with the professional opinion that this was indeed the case. Further to this, the person I spoke with felt it was virtually impossible that this establishment could give anyone food poisoning. He repeatedly told me how fresh the food was, and when I suggested that perhaps an employee touched raw fish and then a surface or rice or something, he said that even if this were the case, it would not result in food poisoning. By the end of the conversation the gentleman repeated that he did not feel it was the Edo food that made us so violently ill. I'm very disappointed, as I assume this means no steps are being taken to ensure no one else experiences what we went through.
