Last month my bookclub host chose EDR to hold our monthly bookclub meeting. As a Baltimore based Black Women based bookclub, we take pride in supporting and patronizing black owned restaurants for our monthly meetings. However, when the group shared their experience I was not surprised. However, I am surprised by the owners response when one our members shared their experience and review of the EDR. For the owner, to respond saying that we felt entitled to service that we as patrons deserved is egotistic and unsettling. You want us to (1) have known that we were entering into a “promoted event” when our reservations where made through Open Table and (2) have known that you were short staffed. That is beyond crazy to me. Instead of taking the review as a moment to improvement services and business processes you chose to attack her in a response to her honest review? Riddle me that! And in reading reviews, you attack all unfavorable reviews with some excuse or that you tried to accommodate normal expectations when choosing to dine at a restaurant. We wish you the best of luck and longevity in your business. We view it as short lived! Service: Dine in Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Maybe you missed the part where I said all of this was explained. But I digress! And we don’t use open table.
