We stopped at Ella Rock cafe for a meal and had a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. The quality of the ingredients and presentation of the dishes were excellent. The ambience was lovely, with beautiful surroundings that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. After descending Ella rock we were hungry to say the least. We stumbled across Dasun and his families farm and cafe. With a warm friend greeting Dasun welcomed us and made us instantly feel at home . First up a delicious cup of home grown black tea, followed by the most epic rice and curry Sri Lanka has to offer. From paddocks you can see straight to your plate. The coconut sambal will live rent free in my brain forever! An absolute must do in Ella! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Rs 1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Dasun and his family welcomes us with open arms and were so kind. They let us taste several local specialties and gave us bananas from their garden and a bottle of water to continue our hike to Ella Rock. Dasun even walked with us for a part of the trail and showed us special plants, trees and animals. Definitely recommend passing by here on your way to Ella Rock.
