My parents are both from Peru so I have eaten authentic Peruvian food since I was very young. This restaurant was delicious! We ordered the Anticucho and lomo saltado empanada. My personal favorite was the lomo saltado empanada, and my mom wanted to know the recipe to make it Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Delicious. Reasonable prices for very filling empanadas. The breading is very much the same as what you’d find in Peru. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

1st time here. The atmoshere is quaint and inviting. The background music lends to the setting. Had the Anticuchera and Vegetariana empenadas. The pastry was fresh, flaky and tender. The filling and flavors were so delicious. It was like eating a homemade empanada in someone's home. Best empanadas I've eaten. The 3 sauces that acompanied the empanadas were so tasty and nice accompanyment. Best chimmychuri I've had. The chicha morada (purple corn) drink was refreshing. The homemade alfajor (heart shaped) cookie was fresh, soft and the filling was creamy and so delicious . The best Alfajor I have ever had. I look forward to coming back. I highly recommend Empa511 for a casual and reasonably priced empanada. Its like a short trip to Peru!
