Just on the other side of Shibuya in the beginning of a neighborhood, there is a very small and inconspicuous former wine-bar turned restaurantEnrico! The Japanese chef learned to cook in Italy and Japan and is masterful with layering bold flavors and focusing on textures. Because of the size of the restaurant (only bar seats and no tablesmaybe 12-15), your proximity to the chef and his cooking is super intimate and the smells he’s creating from the small stove are intoxicating.The menu is Italian, with a definite Japanese influence. We tried six courses and loved all of them. My wife and I would highly recommend; The Radicchio, strawberry, and sour cream salad ( don’t let the sour cream throw you off, it’s delicious!) The Japanese Salami The seared swordfish, The black sesame ice cream The kumquat ice cream. Most of all we really enjoyed the chef’s company while he cooked, as well as the bartender/somalier! All in we paid approximately $150 USD for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine for the two of usworth every penny! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
