Update: Maybe it was just a bad few weeks, service and food quality has improved. A family meal has enough food to last me for most of the week! I still highly recommend this place! Original:. This place is often decent except for evenings. I have been there multiple times and recently the food does not taste fresh like it does during the day. The young person who serves in the afternoon often shorts you on food and gets your order wrong. While I love the day service, I will be very hesitant to go during the evening from now on. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–50

East Express is a great place to enjoy well-cooked Chinese and Japanese cuisine. The owners and staff are extremely friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The portion sizes are well worth the price, and the food is some of the best in Lynchburg. This is my friends’ and my go-to spot whenever we’re hungry. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
