Stopped for an icy sweet treat in 97 degree weather after a trip to CarreFour and was not disappointed. I had grass jelly, aiyu, green bean, with dou hua. There was a bucket of ice and a kettle of brown sugar water on the counter for you to add more if you needed. Another good combination was taro, green bean, peanuts, and dou hua. There was limited seating and the storefront is open air so no air conditioning. But it tasted really good and I look forward to going back for more.

So good! there are 4 bases to choose from and I chose the one with ice and tapioca. After choosing the base, they asked me to choose 4 toppings and I got rice balls, grass jelly, mung bean, and string-like one. Atmosphere wise, it was also good for solo-diners, there are seats facing the street and it was really good people-watching while eating dessert.

Just tried this today in Taiwan. It was amazing, I don't really know what's inside but it tasted fantastic. Eastern Ice store is definitely one of the best ice store in Taipei.
