Came by Eatus Mexican Grill on the way from Seoul back to Incheon International. As a Southern Californian, I was slightly skeptical, since I’ve been through many places in Mexico eating traditional tacos, chilaquiles, chile relleno, etc. When I walked in, the shop had very high ceilings, a huge open-floor design, and welcoming staff who said I could sit anywhere. I chose an empty four-person table, ordered 2 carnitas and 2 beef tacos, as well as a Sprite Zero. The food came out fairly quickly, and was presented very nicely. I loved that they had the lines in this little clip devices to squeeze them, something I’d never seen before. While the beef tacos were kind of mid, being seasoned ground beef and using corn, the carnitas were actually quite delightful. The carnitas meat was very traditionally cooked and flavored, was so juicy, and went strangely very well with the Louisiana-style hot sauce they had on the table (my guess: the vinegar helps cut through the fat). So while Eatus isn’t the greatest Mexican food I’ve ever had, the carnitas were definitely pretty legit and very flavorful, the staff were very nice, and the restaurant itself was comfortable, clean, and inviting.
