We found this place on Google maps while trying to find sushi places for dinner. The journey to Edo Sushi took us meandering through the residential estate at dusk, until we reached; a sole light in front a house, in the midst of the dark. We were warmly welcomed in and served a hot cup of green tea. The ambiance is like a home converted to a restaurant, warm and cosy with just 2 to 3 tables and counter seating. Everything was in Japanese but easy to navigate with Google translate. We ordered the ¥1000 sushi omakase, ¥2000 Otoro sashimi, a sashimi platter and chicken kaarage. The wait, while long, was well worth it. The omakase was beautifully presented, with thick slices of fish blanketing the soft and fluffy rice. They all tasted fresh and left us wanting more. The Otoro was incredibly affordable; 6 melt-in-your-mouth pieces. the sashimi platter was also well presented and the fish tasted fresh and firm, no stale fishy smell at all! The kaarage was well made, sizable and tasted home cooked, also at a reasonable price. In all, the entire meal was excellent value for money! We left the place feeling full and satisfied. お店のご夫婦のあたたかいおもてなしと、本当に美味しいお寿司に二人とも感動しました。 お料理が出てくるまで少し時間はかかりますが、それだけ丁寧に作られているのが伝わってきます。 それにしても、お値段が驚くほど良心的で、コストパフォーマンスは最高です。 ぜひこれからも元気で、長く続けてほしい素敵なお店です。 We were absolutely delighted by this place. The warm hospitality of the owner couple and the truly delicious sushi made our visit very special. It takes a little time for the food to be prepared, but you can really taste the care and attention in every piece. The prices are unbelievably reasonable for the quality — excellent value for money.
