Store owner JUST gets coffee. The science, the taste and the blend just right. Best coffee in JAPAN. And there is a lot, HIGHLY RECOMEND even as a foreigner! Very welcoming. Can’t wait to visit again. PS rice flour cookie was great Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

There’s a café named Effect Coffee. Their concept is to serve coffee that makes a real impact on the mind. Behind the counter sits a roasting machine, constantly at work. What’s interesting is that the menu doesn’t list different types of beans—instead, you choose from five levels of coffee strength. I decided on the second-strongest iced coffee, along with a slice of cinnamon cake. The cake was served warm, its gentle sweetness pairing perfectly with the rich, bold flavor of the coffee.
