Ordered the big Atlantic and the steak breakfast, medium rare. The service was quite good with friendly staff. However, the steak was disappointing and poorly cooked. The menu simply states that it was a sirloin steak without explicitly saying the cooking method which was quite misleading. The steak I received was indeed medium rare, however, there were no grill marks to indicate the meat being seared or grilled. The meat tastes boiled and had a grainy mouthfeel. No aroma from the meat and zero seasoning. The chimichurri sauce was bland and it seemed like it was layered onto the steak to hide the fact that the steak was boiled and pale. When asked about how the steak was cooked upon payment, the staff said that it was pan-seared. Although the staff provided salt and pepper seasoning, the rest of the food was bland that required more than salt and pepper to correct the taste. Despite the steak being a “popular” item, I do not recommend the steak. Please note, you will need to season your food yourself. Has become my favorite breakfast spot in Canggu. With all the cafes opening in the area serving similar type of food, I think this place does a good job doing some things a little different. Also portion and price is worth it. Please don't change and become one of those overpriced cafes around.. Today I finally got to visit Eggstra Breakfast Lab in Canggu. I’d wanted to try this place for a long time because I kept hearing about their delicious, beautifully presented, and healthy breakfasts — and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the Steak Breakfast, and the meat was cooked to absolute perfection. Super tender, juicy, and incredibly satisfying to dip into the glaze. Honestly, just amazing. My girlfriend went for the Scandi Breakfast, which was also very tasty and filling. She especially loved the cheese and the sauce that comes with it — such a great combination. We also tried a caramel matcha and a smoothie, both really good. But what truly deserves a special mention are the desserts — they’re phenomenal here. I’d heard that this restaurant serves the best syrniki on Bali, and now I can confirm it. Mine was large, served with sour cream, and topped with a generous layer of blueberry. Absolute heaven. We also ordered the tiramisu, and it was simply delicious — no extra comments needed. Highly recommend this place. Leaving a couple of photos for you — make sure to visit when you’re in Bali!
