We visited the pub for the first time with some friends today and don't usually do reviews but we were so impressed by this lovely pub. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful and the roast lunch was absolutely amazing. We shall most definitely be returning and recommending. An absolutely lovely pub of the highest quality in the quaint village of Hawkhurst. Me and my partner had a lovely meal (reasonably priced for a pub too) with really nice beers on offer and attentive, fast service from the start. Our waiter was particularly brilliant (not sure on name but a French chap with a ‘tache). The pub itself is cosy and has a lovely atmosphere with multiple log fires. We had a drink by the fire after our meal. Much recommended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
