What a fantastic surprise to find such an incredible Mexican restaurant here on the southeastern coast of Africa! As an American expat, El Agavero has truly been a delight. The food is authentic and full of flavor — a real taste of home — and the kitchen does an amazing job bringing Mexican cuisine to life in Maputo. The drink list is extensive and creative, and the bar staff are absolutely fantastic. The waitstaff here are top-notch — friendly, service-oriented, and exceptionally professional, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Sitting outside with an ocean view, feeling the breeze while enjoying great food and drinks, makes this place something special. Whether you’re craving Mexican food, looking for a great cocktail, or just want to try something new, El Agavero is a must-visit spot in this beautiful city. Highly recommend!
