Updated Review: I'm really sad to knock a few stars off my review, but in the past month or so, the quality of the food has gone downhill. The meat has become really dry and they are stingy with the salsa!! The salsa is still really good, but they barely give you any. I got some al pastor tacos today and was just so let down (for like the 3rd time!) that I had to come update my review. I'm so disappointed because they were really good in the beginning. Original review: Best taqueria in the area, hands down. I would always drive to Livermore if I wanted good tacos, now I don't have to. The meat is very flavorful and its reasonably priced. Not much more you can ask for from a taqueria. Not a sit-down place though. It's takeout only. There's no tables except the few in the courtyard outside. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Tacos are so, so damn good. I could still taste them even through the spice. Not much seating inside but seating outside is cool. Service is great. (3 Califas Tacos, Carne Asada, Spicy.) Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Thank you El Califas Tacos for landing in San Ramon. We have waited long enough for clean, high quality meat that is full of flavor! Truly authentic tacos made with love. The burrito bowls are the best I've had. Super clean and well-presented! Food is served fresh and hot and spicy chili available upon request. If nothing changes about this place it's gonna be my regular go-to spot! Oh, did I mention the prices are very reasonable! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
