Loved everything about this place! Very sweet, cute kitties. They had lots of space to run around and things to climb up. We really enjoyed our iced chai lattes and just hanging out with the kitties. They have a great mission and have rescued a lot of cats! I would highly recommend visiting if you are a cat lover. Ok guys, honest review time.. First time visiting El Gato Coffeehouse, and sorry to say, I wasn't a fan and won't be returning. I'll start with this, the cats are sweet, and there were maybe 20 in the cat studio. But.. the vibe is odd there. The majority of the cats sleep against windows the entire time, and people who are obviously regulars go straight to the window and grab a seat and sit most of the time. The other cats on the floor were adorable. Now, the place itself, not exactly the cleanest. Their restrooms smelled like cat liter and were dirty.. the sink wasn't draining properly..the lobby smelled like Petco. I was really disappointed. And then, in the studio, the liter boxes clearly needed changing, and some of the bowls had been knocked over, food scattered, but no one even bothered to clean it up. Some of the cats had gotten a hold of the cat treats and were chewing on them.. the place just felt dirty. Don't bother getting a coffee because 1.) The chai matcha latte I had wasn't tasty and 2.) Your hands aren't free enough for all that. Also, I saw some ppl had coffee and food from outside places. Wendy's and Dunkins. Is it a bring your own coffee place? I don't know. Also, the parking is TIGHT and scarce. I have an SUV and barely was able to get into some of the spots it was so tight. Anywho, 3 stars is an honest rating.. it was ok, but it could and needs to be WAY better for the prices they charge.
